“A real rebellion in art would be to show people that there is real beauty and grace in the world.”
Photographer Rodney Smith said this years ago, and it has been my anthem ever since. In fact I try to bring it into everything I do.
The Redefined Home is my passion because it allows me to bring beauty and grace to others as well. I absolutely LOVE helping others redefine their homes and fall in love with where they live. Where we choose to live touches us in ways we may not be aware of. The purpose of this blog is to open awareness as to how our surroundings shape our lives. It came about as a direct result from clients telling me they had never thought about how their home affected their lifestyle and family, how it influenced their mindset and their ambitions, how it shaped their behaviors, relationships, health, and happiness, and the message it communicated to friends, neighbors, even the neighborhood. They asked for more, and I could not resist.
If you are just now discovering me, I’m delighted you are here. You will soon notice I am fascinated about all things home related. My diverse background (interior design, graphic design, illustration, and fine art) and career paths have expanded my mind, skills, and awareness which inspired me to study, research, explore, and experiment with the ways the mind, body, and soul respond to the physical world, as well as the energetic/spiritual world. It always amazes me that the “unseen” world is just as powerful (actually more powerful) as the “seen” world.
Get on board and watch this blog grow; every week, there will be new tips, insights, and discoveries. My hope is that we’ll create a community filled with inspiration, support, and encouragement as we leave old paradigms and old traditions behind, freeing us to uncover a new path and mindset. Here’s a hint about next week’s article: change me, change me not.
I look forward to becoming virtual friends as we set forth on a journey that creates a positive, energetic ripple effect in our world. Until next week, be the rebel that finds real beauty and grace in our world and passes it forward.
